Cheshire East Family Hubs

Cheshire East Family Hubs is a service that provides a wealth of support for children, parents and families.

Three key priority areas have been identified to support families across the authority: emotional health and wellbeing; Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and deprivation.

Chelford sits within the area for Wilmslow and Knutsford, although families can still gain access to services provided in all areas of the borough - for example, Macclesfield, Crewe etc... The closest hub, running activities in our locality is located at the Oakenclough Family Hub in Wilmslow.

Targeted support is available for families via referral. Referrals can be made via school or self-referrals directly to the local hub.

Some of the programmes offered via referral include:

  • SPACE - 5-session programme supporting parents and children's emotional wellbeing
  • HENRY - 8-week course developing awareness of healthy nutrition, impact of exercise and tackling childhood obesity
  • SMILE Group - Maternal mental health support - supporting families through the early years of pregnancy and parenthood.
