A summary of the performance of Chelford CE Primary School pupils is outlined below:
Reception pupils
Reception pupils are assessed against the 17 statements identified in the Early Years Goals (ELGs). A Good Level of Development (GLD) is achieved where a child meets the expected level in the 12 prime ELGs: listening, attention and understanding; speaking; self-regulation, managing self, building relationships, gross motor skills; fine motor skills; comprehension; work reading; write-in; number and numerical patterns.

Year 1 pupils
Pupils’ phonological knowledge and awareness was assessed via the re-introduction of the Phonics Screening Check at the end of Year 1.
Where Year 2 pupils had not met the threshold in the autumn of 2023, they too were re-assessed.

Year 4 pupils
Year 4 pupils completed the multiplication tables check. No national comparative data is published for this assessment.
Year 6 pupils
At the end of KS2 (Year 6), pupils completed a range of assessments comprising:
- Grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS): grammar and punctuation paper (paper 1) and spelling paper (paper 2)
- Reading: 1 paper
- Mathematics: Arithmetic (paper 1) and 2 Reasoning papers (papers 2 and 3)
- Writing was teacher assessed against the published end of KS2 assessment criteria - all teacher judgements were validated by Cheshire East external moderation team.
Context: 2024 cohort consisted of 13 pupils (each pupil = 7.7%); 30% of pupils on SEN register (15% SEN support / 15% EHCP)
